Since the forecast said that there is a 30% chance of science today I decided to try to open up a Pentium one processor to see what is inside.
Since nondestructive means of opening this kind of package are unknown to me I opted for my trusty off brand dremel and grinded trough the heat shield to the core itself.
after I while I managed to get to the core but it wasnt exactly what I was expecting, instead of multicolored areas I was greeted with a yellowy metal.
Did I grind in from the wrong side or is the actual core just under the protective layer of the yellowy film? Will try to find out more tomorrow.
